Many members of Church of the Beatitudes participate in Family Promise. This ecumenical organization gives faith communities the opportunity to open their doors to help families get back on their feet without over-burdening one group. Adults spend the day at a day-facility where they can look for work, housing, etc. and the children attend school. In the evenings, the Church hosts homeless families in the Youth Center for dinner and fellowship as well as a safe, private place to sleep. Volunteers are always needed for our host week. Maryland School Partnership
This provided school supplies, support, mentoring and tutoring for students, their families, and teachers at a neighborhood school.
