Music at the Beatitudes

Partnered with the spoken word, music is the centerpiece of our worship, and provides us with a rich setting for meaningful fellowship. A comprehensive music program provides the opportunity to utilize the talents of volunteers and professionals.

Sanctuary Choir
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7:30 - 9:00 pm
This 40 voice choir rehearses in the Choir Room and is open to all adults 16-106 years of age. We share our gifts every Sunday from September through May and the first Sunday of the Month June through August. We also present concerts and special services including an annual Requiem presentation with orchestra on All Saints' Sunday each fall. No audition or previous singing experience necessary. Beatitudes Bell Choir
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7:30 pm
The Bell Choir meets in the Choir Room plays in worship services approximately every six weeks. Our choir is made up of everyone from experienced musicians to novice readers, and all are welcome to join! Contact Joel Rinsema, if you’d like to ring with us.

Voices of Worship Soloists
The Music program at Church of the Beatitudes is blessed to have the opportunity to hire professional singers to enhance our worship experiences. Many of our staff singers are students at Arizona State University, and we are glad to assist them in their studies through supporting their talents. Our soloists serve as vocal leaders in the Sanctuary Choir and Voices of Worship, and provide musical leadership for our 10:30 worship services. They frequently share their talents through solos in all our worship services, and occasionally present recitals and concerts.

Youth Choir
Rehearsals: Sundays, 8:45 am
Open for all "some where in the middle" singers (grades 7-12),this new choir meets from 8:45-9:30 on Sunday mornings, and sings for all of our services about four times a year. Come Join Us! Brenda Mulkey director.


Children's Choir
Rehearsals: Sundays, 10:30 am
1st through 6th graders meet in Room 24 at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We sing, play instruments, have time for a snack, and sing in Worship about once a month, September through May at the 9:00 a.m. service. We also present an annual Christmas pageant each December. Brenda Mulkey, director.
 

Cherub Choir
Rehearsals: Sundays, 10:30 am
All preschool and kindergarten-aged children sing in this Choir that meets at 10:30 in room 13. We participate in special services throughout the year, including the annual Christmas pageant at Mother's Day (festival of the Christian Family) Sunday. Brenda Mulkey, Director.
