Library Search

Use the following tips to search the church library:

Title — omit introductory words “the,” “a” and “an.” Example: Heart of Christianity rather than The Heart of Christianity

Author — author’s last name, first name (if known). Example: Borg, Marcus rather than Marcus Borg

If your attempt fails, clear the search screen and try a different approach. When you find items you want to use, note their Dewey call numbers. Check out items whenever the library is open.

Annual Book Sale
On March 7-8, 2009, Church of the Beatitudes will host its fifth annual book sale. Members and friends of the church community donate books, tapes, videos, and games that are sold at a fraction of their original cost. Proceeds are used to purchase books and non print media for the library.

If you would like to donate materials for the sale, bring them to the library during regularly scheduled hours or to the church office during weekday business hours. Please indicate whether you would like a letter of acknowledgment of your gift for tax purposes.

Volunteers Needed
The library needs additional volunteers for a variety of tasks from helping with the book sale to weekend staffing. If you would like to participate, contact
