Who are the Young Adults?
We are spiritual seekers on a journey of faith.
We take the Bible seriously, but not literally.
We view the diversity of God’s creation as a blessing.
We are open and affirming of LGBTQ and straight people.
We seek to share our lives in community.
What is the age range of the group?
We are between the ages of 18-35.
When do you meet?
Currently, we meet once a month as a group, but Nicholas is out and about meeting with individuals at coffee shops, restaurants, and bars between gatherings.
What do you do?
Dinners, sporting events, hikes, theology on tap, camping, retreats, prayer/spiritual disciplines, trips to local museums, First Fridays…just to name a few.
Who is the coordinator for this ministry?
Hello! My name is Nicholas Wenham, and I have recently joined the staff at Church of the Beatitudes as of August 2008. In order that we may get to know each other a little bit better, here are some quick and easy facts about me:
Native of Phoenix, Arizona
Graduated from Arizona State University; Bachelor of Music, Minor of Sociology (2003)
Have five nieces and two nephews
Have a passion for God, people, canines, spirituality, meditation, good food, fine wine, reading, exercise, spending time with friends and family
excited to be a part of the dynamic staff at Church of the Beatitudes!
The focus of my ministry within the congregation will be with young adults. There are many people between the ages of 18 and 35 moving into the area that are searching for a spiritual community to call home. My goal will be to locate, gather, engage, and empower young adults to become active and visible members in the church. You may see me online or in a nearby coffee shop more often than a traditional office on the church campus.
